City wastewater powers Innovation Campus heating and cooling

The Centralized Renewable Energy System responsible for heating and cooling buildings on Nebraska Innovation Campus is only one of a dozen like it in the United States. None are quite like the CRES, however, which captures heat from wastewater funneled to a nearby treatment plant. Design by Olsson Associates in partnership with innovation Campus developer Tetrad Property Group, the renewable energy system pumps wastewater through three heat exchangers at a plan on the eastern edge of the campus.
